We asked Slatin three questions to help us understand a little more about the song Teach Me 909 featuring Dread MC and Jay Robinson.
1: Choose 3 words that best describe you as an artist?
Modular, wonky, high energy.
2. What was your inspiration for writing this record?
My original inspiration came from combining classic house drum samples with the sound of a rare modular filter. The main leads were created by pinging the resonance of that specific unit. Then Jay Robinson, one of my current favorite producers, remixed it.
